My husband Chris and I, Ula, have a small home kennel, outside the town of Elmira, Ontario. We have been friends for 10+ years and were recently married in Negril, Jamaica in 2008. It has only been in recent years that we too have fallen in love with the BARBET. Since than we have become Barbet activists & serve to educate the world on this dying species.
Chris was born right here in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. While living at home with his parents, he grew up with minature and standard Schnauzers. Chris has worked as a mechanic in many import car dealers for seven years. Now he works on Arial lift equipment, as a heavy equipment mechanic. Chris is an avid fisherman. He float & fly fishes. If you want to find Chris, he'll be along the Grand River, with the Barbets.
Ula was born in Krakow, Poland. She moved to Canada when she was five years old. Her love for dogs started very young. They're first hairy family member was a Boxer. Ula & 'Shadow' whelped a litter of nine healthy boxer puppies. She did all vet calls, with Wellesley Vet, whom she still deals with, close ties too, 15 years later. Ula graduated Conestoga College in a 2 year Police Foundations program and has worked 8 years at Toyota Motor Canada. She has dedicated her life to preserving the Barbet and promoting its every attribute.
